Day 5 – Los Angeles, California

I’ve just recovered from jet lag… and KL is so hot..!

Anyway here’s some pictures I made after our convention. We flew out of Salt Lake City at 7 in the morning and arrived in LA at about 9am. Headed down to Santa Monica beach for a short walk. LA is one of the smoggiest cities in the US and the government is implementing lots of plans to cut down emissions in the city. The weather was warmer than SLC and being next to the ocean the humidity was higher too.

Our bus dropped us at the famous Santa Monica Pier and we only had 45 minutes to walk around:

This reminds me of Baywatch.. :) :

Here’s a picture of me and my mates on the pier:

There was a group of NGO’s that put up crosses on the beach representing each US soldier killed in battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were against the war and every Sunday they would come to the beach and set up the crosses like this:

Then we left the beach and headed to the famous Bevery Hills, California!:

Yes, I had to change my shirt because I was wearing that red sweater and it was getting too

hot! We also had a couple of hours to spend on the Hollywood Walk of Fame:

…and I just simply couldn’t resist doing this..! I’m a real music fan u know.. :) :

And guess who’s hand and foot prints they put right smack in the middle of the entrance to the Mann’s Chinese Theatre where all the famous celebrities would walk the red carpet to attend movie previews.. guess they really dig the Chinese now huh..:

And now I can say I’ve finally been to Hollywood..:

I know, I look dorky.. don’t laugh. That night, I was invited by my great friend and mentor, Rob Horkings to spend time with him in Beverly Hills. He’s a guy who’s so wealthy his room cost him USD1,000 a night. We drank a thousand dollars worth of alcohol with bunch of people we work with in Agel. I can tell you I really love the lifestyle of the rich and famous..:

The next day we skipped the tour to Disneyland to spend more time with Rob in Beverly Hills. I’ll be posting that up real soon. It was an amazing and wonderful experience. I love Beverly Hills… :)
