Sometimes, the simplest set up produces the best images.. and this portrait is one really fine example. I have always used available light in my photos and it has been working out fine for me all these years. Only recently, I started implementing flash photography into my work and now I have 3 speedlights which I can trigger remotely.

This shot of Nicky was done in my house with my curtains as the background. I put her near my windows on the right and set up a SB-800 speedlight shooting into a white umbrella which diffuses the light source. That’s it. Simple and easy. But what a nice shot it creates.

I like the way you used the window light as key instead of the usual way around. Truly your style.
