Hi Jimin Lai, thank you. Why? Because of your photo's, it so meaning full. Each and every photo that you have taken i really admire it. The smile of those childrens, the tears, the fears from them during the WAR, is so magnificent. From there, i started to fall interest on Photojournalism. Photojournalism is great, as we get to tell stories using the photo. For me, this is something meaningfull and is something truely as a photographer.
How i wish i can be like you, taking greats photo's with stories within it and show it to the world. A photo with a thousand words.

Hi Jimin Lai. Of all the photography areas i am really interested in photojournalism.I have a habit of looking at pics or photos and start dwelling in it,creating an imagination or trying to put myself in the picture. The story that comes up may not be entirely true, but i strongly believe in the saying that a photo can tell thousands of words.

So yes,i support photojournalism. And i am thinking of being one too ;) Any advice on where to start?

hi mr jimin, stumbled upon your blog after googling photojournalism in malaysia..
i was recently hooked into photography, but due to some limitation in my financial state, i hv to resort with analog photography first with my dad's yashica.. then i realized using film is still not so bad.. :P but will try digital if there's opportunity..
i support you all the way in your quest to enlighten malaysian regarding photojournalism.. i feel that there is more that is yet to be tell about malaysia to the world.. keep up your good work!!

There's always a story behind another story..the same goes with the images in a photograph. Each image will have a story to tell which will then tail on to another story. The place and time of an image captured will have its own story to tell and finally it will end up to the story behind the camera with which the image was taken and will tail on to the story of the photographer. Even behind this short line that I am writing has its own story to tell.. Well, it does sound a bit scary but that's how life goes... and I guess the same goes with photojournalism..

Jimmin, like how you adore MJ, I just love the work that you are doing. Your captures are not just captures. They are powerful captures with a series of very strong stories to tell which leads to the stories of your cameras and about yourself as well. I normally spend a lot of time just looking at the images in your captures trying to figure out the stories behind the image captured by you..

Don't stop Jimmin... just keep on doing what you are doing.. ther are so many guys with you.. I, for sure, am definitely with you although I don't respond much to your talks and get togethers. Perhaps one day we will meet and have our own stories to tell.. just like photojournalism.. it does not stop with just an image captured.. it goes on and on and on and on.. when or where does it stop? I guess it never stops....

Hi all,
I'm still beginner in photography....finding my own skill in photography but likely to interested with photojournalism coz u need more studies with the subject especially when we talk about religion or community. That very sensitivity with our people like hanif and other people talk. Silap2 kena masuk ISA!!!hehehe
By the way i seriously supported with photojournalism...we growth up with our own stories and our own skill!!!!your are telling people of the true color life in your picture.
One more problem why people more comfortable with wedding photography or fashion photography coz u no need to write the story of your picture....maybe you just write down the detail of picture but actually it's nothing to tell.
Hope your can share your experience and skill to us.....best wishes!!! JiminLai
