Met a friend who owns a Lamborghini Gallardo recently and we were toying with the idea of doing some shots for his car. So we made a date and met up in town, then decided to drive to Putrajaya and do the shots there.
The weather was not good at all with an overcast sky. I went ahead with the shoot anyway because it wasn’t easy to convince the guy to let us shoot his car and I didn’t want to tell him to reschedule for another day. This is my first time doing an actual car shoot on location and I’ve learnt that shooting cars on location is really, really time consuming. There are a lot of factors to weigh and it took time to position the car exactly the way I wanted it. Also looking for good locations takes a lot of scouting and driving around.
I didn’t want to waste a lot of his time so I quickly chose a couple of spots for the shoot. I know now if I was ever going to shoot a car again, I would take a drive the day before to scout around for a few good spots to shoot it. After the shoot he took me for a short spin and the acceleration I experienced was a lot more than what you feel on a plane that was taking off!
