Recently, I gave a talk to members of the Bursa photography club. My friend and fellow Mac User Group head Azul invited me to conduct a short talk at his office at the KLSE building on Tuesday. I really enjoy giving talks because it opens up people’s minds about who and what photojournalists are. And it brings them closer to what is really happening at ground zero from a photographer’s point of view.
People who live in the city, drive to work everyday and stay in their offices day to day. They only get to see what’s happening in the world through newspapers and television. When I give a talk about photojournalism, it is an opportunity for them to get up close and personal to the places and events that happen in the world. Through my stories, I take them with me to the front line and they get to experience being there for that brief moment.
Thanks to Azul and Moriazi for snapping these pictures.
